Google Glass Factory Images, Pre-Rooted Boot and OTA Updates

For those who want to play with the factory images, root their device or update it manually, here you have all the files needed. We'll keep this post updated with all the newer XE files, which are being released montly.

Please note that if you root, unlock or flash anything on your Google Glass will void the warranty. You can brick your device and there aren't many people out there that can help you yet. A rooted or unlocked Glass also won't receive OTA updates anymore, so you will have to do it manually if you want to keep it updated.

You can download the latest Android SDK Tools version here.

    Factory Images
These are the original Google Glass factory images and the download links are directly from Google. So you are safe to download them and play with them.

I'm surprised; rooting voids your warranty? I know that it is untested waters, but that seems sort of counter intuitive to the development process. On the other hand, if Google was getting a bunch of fried units back, there's that as well..
