    Privacy - Such a big concern ?

I see that everyone is talking about privacy in Google Glass related discussions. Is it really such a big concern ? I mean nowadays you can take pictures with virtually every device, so I don't find it so disturbing. If you want to take photos, you can, and even without others noticing it. So what's with all this buzz ?

Privacy is only an issue with Glass because a few people and businesses have kicked up a fuss about it. I shared my thoughts on my website () and have found that people really couldn't care about the camera issue when you can buy spy cams or simply just use your phones camera to take pictures now. Because Glass is mounted on your head people assume it's always listening and recording you, but in reality there are likely CCTV cameras looking at you at the same time ACTUALLY recording you.

I think it's only a matter of time before the Glass team come up with a solution to keep people happy but it's become my opinion that it's not a great concern to anyone genuinely interested in Glass.

Nowadays people like to complain about privacy a lot, though privacy doesn't exist anymore, if you think a bit about it. Anyone can record or take photos without you noticing it, because there are now really small cameras that can be hidden anywhere. So why do people complain about a camera that sits on your head and everyone can see it ?

From what I can see, it's just another method of news companies to generate extra content. They also love to bash anything without a reason.

It could be a concern in some areas, but usually in these cases all electronics are banned. So it doesn't matter anyway.

The funny thing is that Google itself banned Google Glass from a meeting a few days ago. Another piece of Google humor? https://googleglass.gs/google-gla...ned-by-google/ . Enjoy!

Privacy is indeed a huge concern nowadays. The most interesting aspect is that there are so many gadgets that can shoot HD video and do not use a notification light out there and nobody has a problem with that. We are surrounded by cameras be it when we withdraw some money or just stop at red lights...People should get used to this or build a wooden cottage in the mountains and solve the problem.

Speaking of Google Glass privacy concerns, take a look at those mad scientists https://googleglass.gs/japanese-s...ty-protection/ . This is what I call a twisted mind....

As some of you have rightly pointed out, there is no privacy in this world today. I suppose Google glass would not cause any privacy issues in most countries. But we also need to take into account of the cultural implications of certain countries. For example, in my country India there could be serious privacy issues

In Japan they require cell phones to make a snapshot sound when taking photos to protect in privacy, if someone alters their glass action words, they can take photos without anyone knowing, which is a little creepy. But the thing is that some people want to escape constant technology, when they are around someone wearing glass they can't do that.

Honestly with how we are as a technology based society privacy is pretty much nil anyway. I believe there are a select few just looking for something to buck against.

The same thing applies for shooting video with a camera. A red led must signal your intention of doing so. It's not that absurd if you think a little bit...
