Google Glass is expanding into music

In the coming weeks, Google is planning to enable Glass with a new voice command mode allowing users to access the Google Play Music library. With this feature users will be able to call up their favorite tunes. It is expected that in the coming weeks
Glass Explorers will be contacted via email with more details on how to access music on the futuristic specs.

That sounds like an awesome feature. My only concern is they quality of the music delivered by the Google Glass earpiece. Maybe I got a bit spoiled since I got my Sennheiser HD 650 Headphones, it made me appreciate music on a different level. I'm sure they'll eventually come out with good quality earphones for Google Glass though.

Unfortunately the battery life is very low while listening to music on Glass. Music can drain it in less than 3 hours.

Well, that is terrible. To be honest, I don't see a reason to use glass as a music player. Why not just use your good old smartphone?

Hi Alex, have you tried this? If it really is like that, then it really is a problem. When I commute to work, I'm listening to music for over 45 minutes. That's 1:30h of the 3 hours of time my Google Glass would work.

I wonder if Bluetooth 4.0 LE can help with that. I don't really know if you can stream music using LE?

I think Google glass is going to improve in the future and it's going to be one of the most used tech in the world. This is just the beginning of Glass. Awesome idea.

The main issue in the Glass is the battery, there is so much going on that the battery simply can't handle it. A battery revolution is necessary...

I think its the natural step to make for Google glass, and its such a cool idea, imagine wearing your shades that churn out music, thats really cool.

I think cool is the right choice of words, it's super cool and apart from that it's a world of technology right in front of our eyes!
