Redditor developed Google Keep mockup for Glass and it's really interesting
The app developed by redditor ProfSmiles uses facial recognition in order to offer you reminders related to the person you're looking at. This is really awesome, though we won't see a similar app in the app store soon, because facial recognition is not allowed for Glass.

Quite interesting project, but I'm wondering how far users will go to be able to get those kind of apps running on their pair of Google Glass. Do you think the search engine company will put up a good fight trying to keep facial recognition apps out of its newest gadget? An iOS-like firmware is just around the corner I'm afraid...

I doubt Google will do anything like that. The most important reason to believe this is that Google Glass runs on Android, which is open source. They just won't allow those apps on the app store and that's it.

No facial recognition on the App Store... Ok, I agree. That does not mean that almost every users will instal a copy of this kind of software... Open your eyes guys...Facial recognition for Glass is real and it will be used like crazy. Nothing to do about the matter.... Btw do you guys even care if someone knows who you are or not when talking with you? To begin with my mother taught me not to talk with strangers )

It seems like this can definately be useful in a business sense later on down the line, especially if you meet alot of people.

I am working in a hospital. This app could do wonders for me. Since I meet a lot of people I can not always remember all their names and this forces me to "Hey you there" once in a while which is pretty funny...
