I love the idea of Google Glass.
The price of $1500 is a bit high.
How much will it be when it is released?

Yeah when I saw the initial $1500 I was a little skeptical but I have a feeling that it will be sub $1000 for the masses when it released. If not not, it may be a hard sell since that more than most computer, tablets, and phones.
Holy cow I thought they would be cheaper then that if that's the retail price that means I will be waiting a long time before buying one!
1500? Woah, that's way too much for me right now. It's nice to have something like this right from the start but I don't mind waiting in this case. The prices will drop and after some time the will be more apps etc. available.
I think the $1500 applies to the early adopter/pre-release units that are already out there.
When it hits consumer shelves, the price is likely to be lower than $500. Though probably more than $299 -
For Euro pricing, I would guess you can just change the $ to .
Early adopters always pay more. There is no way this could become a mainstream consumer product at $1500.
$1,500 is way too high. I don't think anyone is ever going to buy it if it's that expensive, especially in its current state. It needs to be something like $300 or maybe even cheaper for sure.
No one's gonna buy it for $1,500. Well, maybe some rich people but I would not be able to afford it at that price. Like pxyc said, $300 or less would make sense. Maybe they'll come out with different versions, like they do for most modern devices?
Google Glass Lite, $250. Sounds good, huh?
I think $300 actually too low considering most smart phones nowadays run for about $500 off contract. I think they should make it around $600 because there's nothing like it, but lower it a few months after its release.Originally Posted by pxyc
Unless it can be compared to a low-end laptop that you wear on your face I don't see how that price tag will ever be acceptable. I could rent someone to walk around, check my e-mail, make my phone calls, and tell me things about the area I am in for much less than that. lol.
I thought it will come for about $300, but after seeing that Samsung Galaxy Gear, their smartwatch, also costs $300, I think Glass is going to be more expensive. That smartwatch doesn't have so much hardware as Glass.
